Welcome to the Rhodes Academy! Whether you have been living surround by magic your whole life, or have just found out about the Wizarding world, this is where you can get information about our school. If you have been accepted to Rhodes, our school will become your home for the next 6 years of your life as you learn the magical arts along side new and old friends.
Our school campus has remained very much the same since its official founding in 1578. Unplottable and protected by a number of repelling spells, it remains hidden to the nearby Muggle population. The main building stands on a cliff overlooking the Atlantic ocean. Behind the main building are the school grounds, which include the forest, Herbology greenhouses, and the Quidditch pitch. The grounds also host the Care of Magical Creatures classes, and are a place for students to relax in their down time.
The school building is built in a large mansion. To the left of the entrance is the Great Hall, where meals are eaten. Balls and other celebrations are also held in the Great Hall, as well as final exams. Also on the ground floor is the expansive school library, home to thousands of books on almost every subject. Every classroom is specially set for the subject taught within it, and most have a view of either the grounds or the ocean. Care of Magical Creatures, Herbology, and Flying classes are held on the school grounds, but have nearby areas of shelter in case of bad weather. Student dorms are located on opposite sides of the school, girls on the South side and boys on the North side. Every block of 7 dorms have a small Common Room for relaxation, socializing, or homework.
