Just for Muggle-Borns
If you are on this page, it probably means you are new to the Wizarding world. Welcome! We hope our teachers were successful at answering all your questions. (If you recieved an acceptance letter to Rhodes Academy, but have not yet been visited by a staff member, please notify us below.) Here at Rhodes, we strive to make all our Muggle-Born (witches or wizards born to non-magical parents) students feel welcome and accepted. We also hope to make parents understand the workings of our secret world, so they may help guide their children just as they would within their own environment.
Though you may not realize it, wizards are everywhere. Even some Muggle-govenment leaders have been wizards, working to strengthen the connections between our people. There are wizards and witches working as police officers, pilots, nurses, firefighters, ect... protecting you from dangers unknown to Muggles.
Your child will be welcomed into Rhodes so that he or she will learn to controll the power within. Though magic seems to be innate and easily used, without proper training, a young witch or wizard might harm themselves. We understand if you, as a concerend parent protecting your child, choose not to send him or her to Rhodes. However, the Rhodes staff highly dicourage it, and our only wish is to educate and protect every child.
